ANNAPOLIS, Md. (CBSDC/AP) ? Members of the Maryland House of Delegates are starting to define proposed changes to a measure to expand gambling in the state.

Lawmakers met Monday to discuss amendments.

Some are concerned about when a Prince George?s County casino could open.

A bill approved by the Senate says the casino could open July 1, 2016 or 30 months after a casino opens in Baltimore in 2014. Baltimore lawmakers want to specify opening at 30 months after the Baltimore casino opens.

Baltimore lawmakers also don?t want the Prince George?s casino to have table games at a temporary site before the opening with slot machines.

House members will be working on amendments to the bill at least over the next day or two in a special session.

As of mid-afternoon there was some question as to whether the bill had enough support to garner the 71 votes needed for passage. However, some lawmakers in favor of the bill are confident it will ultimately pass.

?I believe we?ll be able to get those last few votes lined up,? said Delegate Jolene Ivey.
